The Foundation
The “Don Oreste Benzi Foundation” aims to promote, deepen and foster the study of the thought, life witness and works promoted and implemented by Don Oreste Benzi, Servant of God, priest of the Diocese of Rimini and founder of the Pope John XXIII Community.
Don Oreste Benzi
Don Oreste Benzi was a street priest born in Rimini in 1925 and died in the Romagna city on November 2, 2007. Famous for his commitment alongside the least, he was the founder of the Pope John XXIII Community. His thought, concrete and always relevant, continues to live on in the work of “his” Community, in many realities born from his charism and in the prayers of his faithful.
